## What it is

CannabisTrade is the wholesale-trade infrastructure layer for the legal cannabis
industry. It is **not** a dispensary, not a recreational marketplace, and not
open to consumers. Every company is verified before getting marketplace access.

## Who it's for

- **Producers / cultivators** — list wholesale offers with verified Certificates
  of Analysis (COAs), reach buyers in 50+ countries through one compliant venue.
- **Buyers / distributors** — search by region, category, certification, and
  price; negotiate via dock-style chat; sign deals backed by lab certificates
  and origin traceability.
- **Labs / testing facilities** — get listed as approved certificate issuers;
  producers route work to you; you upload results that unblock listings.
- **Logistics partners** — coming in 2026.

## How it works

1. **Request access** at https://www.cannabis-trade.com/request-access — tell us
   about your business (form delivers an email; reviewed within 48 hours).
2. **Get verified** — tenant admin reviews your licensing docs; capabilities
   (sell / buy / certify) are scoped to what you do.
3. **List or browse** — producers post offers; buyers post interests. Search is
   geo-aware (which jurisdictions, which categories), real-time chat, all
   listings backed by lab certifications.
4. **Close the deal** — negotiate terms in-app, sign with audit trail, fulfil
   bilaterally (escrow + logistics partners coming 2026). We don't take a cut
   on transactions during beta.

## Compliance posture

- Each product category has a list of required certifications (THC potency,
  pesticide residue, microbial, heavy metals, mycotoxins).
- Listings can't go live without the matching approved COAs from registered labs.
- Audit trails are kept indefinitely for regulator requests.
- GDPR / KVKK / CCPA compliant; data subject access, deletion, and portability
  honoured within statutory windows.
- Tenant data isolated at the database level via Postgres Row-Level Security.
